MIB Agents Pre-Conference Party at Mike Hess Brewing
Drinking beer, eating tacos, and hanging out with super cool people, all while Making It Better for kids fighting cancer. Why would you not want to come?
This event benefits MIB Agents and the kids we serve. We love your company, but we kindly ask you to buy your own food and beverages. We will give you a hug and a thank-you.
Thursday, June 23, 6:45-8:45pm - Buses will leave for Mike Hess Brewing at 6:15p after the Welcome Reception. Buses will return to Rancho Bernardo Inn at 8:45pm.
Mike Hess and his family support MIB Agents as their daughter, Keely, is an osteosarcoma survivor. Let's enjoy a night of community and good cheer as we head into FACTOR 2022! A percentage of proceeds will be donated to MIB Agents.
Ambassador Agent Training
The MIB Ambassador Agents program connects osteosarcoma patients and families to osteosarcoma survivors and their families.
Ambassador Agents have walked the osteosarcoma path and are dedicated, trained, and certified to provide support and hope to families who are in treatment now. We are here to listen. We will hear you. You are not alone. We understand.
A cancer diagnosis is an isolating experience for both the patient and their family. Suddenly, you no longer share the same everyday occurrences as your friends, peers, co-workers and extended family. You are trying to navigate your way through unknown territory without a definitive map, and you feel isolated. We are here to Make it Better.
School aged patients spend so much time in the hospital and traveling for treatment, that their daily activities are vastly different from their friends’.
Parents are no longer occupied with packing lunches, scheduling piano lessons, carpooling to hockey practice, or gossiping about the neighbors.
Medical professionals are usually wonderful, but they can only answer and anticipate so much. Most families feel despair and as though they are living in a cave, or a war zone alone. Our Ambassador Agents Understand. They have been there. They will MAKE IT BETTER!
This, and every MIB Agents program, is free of charge, thanks to the generous donors who Make it Better.
We are delighted to offer Ambassador Agent Training at FACTOR 2022 to any warrior, parent, or caregiver who is a minimum of 12 months out of treatment. The sessions will meet on Thursday, June 23rd 8:30 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:30 with lunch served at Noon. To Apply for registration please email Isabel Wolf, Director of Programs, firstname.lastname@example.org.
